The Fine Art of China Painting

Porcelain painting, not to be confused with ceramics, is a fine art that has been around for thousands of years. Painting on porcelain pieces of white or ivory color with powered paints that are mixed with mineral oil to the consistancy of tooth paste are applied one layer at a time after each firing in a kiln.

April - The State Federation of Porcelain Art Clubs of Texas Held their annual convention for the state of Texas in San Antonia.  The theme was "Fiesta" which was used all year.  One of the annual events is the judging of clubs' history books

that are then presented to each residing present for the year.  I am thrilled to announce that Big Thicket won Blue Ribbon 1st place!  Pictures of some of the award winning inside pages will be posted at a later date -  Can you hardly wait?
